Meet the Team
We are a medium sized civil and structural engineering practice based in the attractive market town of Hexham, Northumberland. Despite our rural location we are working on significant civil and structural projects across the UK and the rest of the world.
BEng, CENG, FICE, FIQ, CMaPS, FConsE
Brian established the practice in 1998 and is Practice Director with 30 years of experience in project management, design team leadership, and practical design. He maintains broad technical expertise by remaining actively involved in projects while overseeing the strategic direction of the practice. Brian has particular expertise in structural dynamics and regularly acts for clients as an expert witness.
MEng (Hons), CEng, MICE, FGS, FIQ
Martin is a Chartered Civil Engineer with experience across Civil and Structural Engineering disciplines. Martin has led civil and structural projects in the Quarrying, Power, Water, and Residential sectors, responsible for the delivery of design calculations and drawings as well as ensuring the company acted in its obligations under the CDM regulations.
BSc, MICE
Stephen is good at managing complex projects and has extensive expertise in all aspects of civil and structural design. Stephen is fully versed in the Construction Design Management Regulations 2015 and he works across the practice to ensure project compliance. Stephen has won awards for his ability to manage and execute all stages of the design brief. Clients value his input.
MICE, EngTech
Colin is a Civil, Structural and Petrochemical Technician with worldwide experience. He joined the practice in 2005 following 35 years with respected companies in locations including New Zealand, Australia and Ireland. Colin manages AutoCAD and modelling documentation, ensuring the technical and BIM standards of the practice are met.

Tomo is an experienced civil and structural engineer with five years working on substation projects across the UK. He has delivered designs for steel framed structures, transformer bunds and AIS foundations. Beyond substations, Tomo has also contributed to projects in the heritage and material handling sectors.

Pavan joined BT Bell in 2022 as a civil and structural engineer. Pavan is developing his skills on both Tekla structural designer and Revit software in order to strengthen BT Bell’s capabilities in the BIM environment.
