BAE Access Bridges Systems
We work with BAE Systems in a varied capacity. On this particular project we designed and managed the upgrade of three road bridges at one of their sites.
Projects
Paris Metro
As part of the paris metro work, a through truss conveyor bridge was used to aid in the removal of spoil from tunnel excavation.
Tower 4ZY30
Following severe flooding in 2008 the River Breamish changed course and threatened to destabilise a tower carrying the National Grid overhead power line between Scotland and northern England.
River Glen
The River Glen in Northumberland is a habitat for sensitive mammal and plant species. It also runs close to the electricity transmission network.
Acomb Culvert
There are a number of private properties in Acomb, Northumberland where the Red Burn runs beneath gardens in a culvert. We carried out a visual survey of part of the culvert which was collapsing in order to establish a remediation strategy.
Gelderd Road
The Yorkshire Electricity office in Leeds is the primary control centre for managing the electricity network in Yorkshire. It is critical infrastructure.
Fyrish Substation
Fyrish substation, located near Alness, is part of the Dounreay Beauly line upgrade, specifically designed to increase the level of renewable energy sources contributing to the national grid.
Crossaig Substation
The Crossaig substation is required as part of the Kintyre to Hunterston Connection project.
